The City of Fayetteville may consider providing sewer service to the town of Tyrone, depending on what happens in Peachtree City.

Fayetteville City Manager Ray Gibson said at the July 7 city council meeting that “we are entertaining this possibility” based on whether Peachtree City grants Tyrone’s previous request to allow up to 350,000 gallons of sewage per day to be pumped to Peachtree City’s processing facility. Gibson said any consideration would likely require a feasibility study regarding costs and capacity. Peachtree City has not announced a date for its decision.
