Fayetteville is commemorating Georgia Cities Week with a series of 10 community events April 20-27.

The theme of the statewide program, organized by the Georgia Municipal Association, is “True Colors,” and participating cities are encouraged to “share information about the valuable services cities provide to residents and …impact their quality of life.”

The occasion is also used to recognize city employees, volunteers and community achievements. Fayetteville is starting the week with an Earth Day celebration and Easterpalooza on Saturday, an Easter service on Sunday, and other daily events related to public safety, recycling, customer service, local business and more, culminating with the Church Street Park Festival on April 27.
