The city of Fayetteville has formed a SPLOST Citizen Advisory Committee to assess and prioritize potential infrastructure improvements if Fayette County voters approve a new sales tax in November.

The City Council voted 5-0 Tuesday to confirm a slate of committee members, which includes council members Harlan Shirley and Paul Oddo as well as citizens Rick Jones, Lauren Panter, Sandi Schofield, Mickey Edwards, Rich Hoffman and Kelly Brown.

City Manager Ray Gibson will serve as facilitator. The city has already identified possible projects totaling more than $30 million.
