Fayette County commissioners unanimously approved Thursday night the rezoning of about 122 acres in central Fayette County, paving the way for the new film and television studios being built by a group of private investors on behalf of the British film company Pinewood Studios. The rezoning is a special business commercial classification that allows for film and tv studios. Pinewood Studio officials expect to apply for permits to begin construction on five buildings at the campus in April.
