As Fayette County students prepare to return to classes Aug. 7, the school system is reminding parents of several changes taking effect:
- There will be four early release days on Sept. 20, Oct. 19, Jan. 31 and March 14, with school buses operating to take students home.
- Lunch prices are now $2.75 for elementary students and $2.90 for middle and high school students; breakfast is $1.60 for all students.
- Dress code updates require that sleeveless shirts and dresses have straps that cover the entire shoulder and are at least four finger lengths wide. Hems on shorts, skirts and dresses must be below the fingertips or mid-thigh, as must any holes in garments.
