The Fayette County Board of Commissioners has directed the county engineering department to proceed with extending multi-use paths along Redwine Road to facilitate greater access to the Starr’s Mill school complex.

The administration has been working with the board of education on the infrastructure needed to allow students to drive golf carts to school. The new paths will improve overall community access in that area as well. Commission Chairman Steve Brown said once a few private property rights-of-way are secured, construction should be complete by late spring or early summer.
