Fayette County students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunches during the school year may also qualify for free meals during the summer break. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Summer Food Services Program provides eligible students with nutritious meals after the last day of school until Aug. 7.

Parents can contact the Fayette County Division of Family and Children Services at 770-830-2178 to determine eligibility requirements (based on family size and household income) and get information about which local organizations participate in the program.

The USDA also provides location information at www.fns.usda.gov/summerfoodrocks.
