A pilot program to trap, neuter and release feral cats in Fayette County will be expanded with the approval of the Fayette County Board of Commissioners. The board heard a presentation from the Fayette Humane Society last Thursday about how a partnership with the county’s animal control department is helping to reduce stray populations at lower cost to taxpayers.

The board directed the staff to draft an ordinance that would implement TNR programs county-wide.
