Figures released this week by the Georgia Department of Education show that Fayette County students rank second in metro Atlanta for their scores on the 2014 College and Career Ready Performance Index. Results for elementary and middle school students were down slightly, but increases at the high school level raised Fayette’s overall placement from third last year to second this year. Fayette’s total scores rank it 12th in the state. The CCRPI was implemented in 2012 to replace the No Child Left Behind Adequate Yearly Progress measurement.
