Applications are being accepted for one open seat on the Fayette County Recreation Commission, for a term expiring Aug. 31, 2023.

The five-member volunteer board meets at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the Parks and Recreation Activities Building, 980 Redwine Road in Fayetteville. Members serve four-year terms to review and evaluate programs, facilities, policies and related matters and makes recommendations regarding capital and operational needs to the department, the county administrator and the Board of Commissioners.

Applicants must be county residents; completed forms (downloadable at www.fayettecountyga.gov) must be received by County Clerk Tameca White at twhite@fayettecountyga.gov or at 140 Stonewall Ave. West, Suite 100 in Fayetteville by Sept. 20.
