Fayette County is offering residents a free bus tour to visit sites where proposed Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax projects would be conducted.

Voters will decide on March 21 whether to approve a one-cent sales tax that would raise an estimated $141 million over six years. The county and its municipalities have finalized a list of transportation, stormwater and other infrastructure projects that would be funded by the SPLOST.

A bus will depart at 10 a.m. on Jan. 21 and Feb. 25 from the Administrative Complex at 140 West Stonewall Ave. in Fayetteville to visit project sites for several hours.
