A series of free workshops sponsored by Fayette County Public Schools will offer guided steps for better parent-child relationships and more effective discipline.

Called Systematic Training for Effective Parenting, the eight weekly sessions will last 1.5 hours each and are open to all Fayette County parents and their children. The workshops will be facilitated by Dr. Jason Snow and include information about child and parent behavior, positive listening, giving encouragement, family meetings and developing children’s responsibilities and confidence. Classes will be held 6:30-8 p.m. on Tuesdays starting Jan. 22 through March 19 at J.C. Booth Middle School, 250 Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City. Space is limited and early registration is encouraged through www.fcboe.org.

Childcare is not available, and no enrollments will be accepted after the third class.
