The number of Fayette County high school students taking Advanced Placement courses continues to increase.

Instructional Coordinator Becky Ryckeley presented statistics from the 2015 tests to the Board of Education Monday, noting that the total number of exams taken last year rose slightly, with 73.6 percent of students scoring a 3 or above.

All five high schools were rated as AP STEM Achievement Schools, based on students who took at least two AP math and two AP science courses and scored a 3 or higher on 40 percent of the exams.
