Dozens of people turned out Monday evening to review proposed redesigns and improvements to four north Fayette County transportation corridors

An open house held at the Fayette County Library featured large displays illustrating individual projects being considered along Sandy Creek Road, Banks Road, Tyrone Road-Palmetto Road and SR 279. Projects include road realignments, roundabouts, bike lanes, traffic signals, widening and installing multi-use paths. Attendees were asked to demonstrate their approval or disapproval of each element using green and red stickers, as well as filling out survey forms. The study is a joint venture involving the county government, the Atlanta Regional Commission and Croy Engineering, whose representatives were on hand at the library to answer individual questions.

Residents who could not attend the meeting can still answer survey questions using the links in the Transportation Planning box at https://www.fayettecountyga.gov/transportation-planning/.
