Candidates for Fayette County’s May 24 general primary election can qualify through Friday.

Qualifying for nonpartisan positions will be conducted at the Elections Office at the Stonewall Administrative Complex in Fayetteville. Democratic candidates can qualify by sending their name and contact information to Democratic Committee Chair Leonard Presberg at admin@fayettedems.org with “Qualifying” in the subject line, or by calling 678-232-6183 to make an appointment. Republican candidates can qualify from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 7-10 and 9 a.m.-noon on March 11 at the party headquarters at 174 Glynn Street North in Fayetteville.
