The Fayette County Board of Commissioners voted on Dec. 14 to modify the start time of four of its 2018 meetings.

The board usually meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of each month; however, it will convene at 4 p.m. on April 24 and Oct. 9, and at 2 p.m. on Nov. 8 and Dec. 13. Because of the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, the commission usually holds only one meeting in November and December. Commissioner Charles Rousseau suggested the 2 p.m. start times to allow more senior citizens to attend without having to drive home in the dark.
