Fatal wreck reported on I-675 in Clayton County

Most northbound lanes of I-675 in Clayton County were shut down late Monday morning while authorities investigated a fatal wreck at Anvil Block Road.

The state Department of Transportation confirmed that a motorist was killed when a vehicle struck the Anvil Block Road overpass.

The bridge was not damaged, according to the DOT.

The wreck happened around 11:30 a.m., and two of the three northbound lanes remained blocked at noon.
