A blown tire caused a fatal accident on I-20 Saturday night, police said.

At about 8:30 p.m., Anoa Sulaiman, 25, was driving a 1995 Lexus GS300 westbound on the interstate when a right rear tire blew out, said Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones.

Her vehicle swerved and struck a 2003 Ford Expedition. Christopher Saladrigas, 27, was ejected from the SUV and died on the scene.

The wreck occurred in the vicinity of I-20's intersection with I-285, west of downtown.

No charges have been filed at the time.
