Fatal shooting along Downtown Connector apparently a suicide

A man found dead inside a car alongside the Downtown Connector during Wednesday's morning rush hour apparently killed himself, police said.

Atlanta police spokesman John Chafee said the man was found in a vehicle along I-75/85 southbound near University Avenue, dead of a gunshot wound.

"At this time, it appears to be a suicide," Chafee told the AJC.
