Winter is gone. Fresh fruits and veggies are back.

In north Fulton County, you can get your locally grown food starting on April 14 at the Alpharetta Farmer’s Market, presented by the Alpharetta Business Association.

Beginning that day, the market will be open every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. through October. The market is nestled just off Old Roswell Street at 1 South Main.

The grand opening of the market for this season will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m. Mayor Pro Tem Donald Mitchell will cut the ribbon.

According to the market’s website, more than 55 vendors will participate in the market this season, offering fruits, veggies, jerky, bathroom products and other food and home goods.

For April, the market is highlighting vendors serving up peaches, strawberries, cucumbers, peppers, okra and corn.

The market is always looking for volunteers, sponsors and more vendors. Visit its website or Facebook page for more information.
