No humans was hurt, but firefighters rescued a pet late Monday morning as fire gutted a Woodstock home.

The blaze was reported shortly after 11:30 a.m. at 3037 Lexington Ave., with a witness spotting fire coming from the back deck. Fire crews arrived to find smoke and flames shooting through the roof, and rescued a bulldog from a front bedroom. The blaze displaced a man, his wife and their three sons.

Woodstock fire officials said the cause is under investigation.
