A mother, father and grandmother are all facing charges after being accused of taking money in a fake GoFundMe account.

Cobb school police say they raised money for their "sick" three-year-old daughter, who in reality was not sick.

People on Marietta Street said they were hurt and confused after learning their neighbor's daughter is not sick.

"No sense whatsoever. No sense, I'm shocked," said neighbor Wanda Allison.

Joannessa Clawson and James Clawson along with the child's grandmother, Patti Ann Baldassarre, are all facing charges.

"We seen police walk the husband to the car then they handcuffed him," Allison said.

Police say the three set up the crowdfunding donation account that detailed a medical condition for their daughter.

"When I seen that, my heart went out because I pray for my neighbors for them to be covered so my heart just went out because they are good people," said Allison said.

A police report shows Cobb school police learned the girl was not sick after a concerned teacher contacted them to check on her.

The father has since bonded out of jail, but the mother and grandmother are still locked up.
