Students entering pre-kindergarten or kindergarten for the 2020-21 school year can now be registered online in Fayette County.

Registration is also open for any students new to the county or who previously attended private or home school. Parents must complete the online enrollment form at https://www.fcboe.org/Page/237 before providing proof of county residency and other documents, which are also specified on that web page. Parents will be contacted by school staff after the form is received. Both the enrolled student and his or her parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must be full-time Fayette residents. The start of the new school year is planned for Aug. 10, but the Board of Education is still surveying parents and staff regarding whether instruction will be in person, online or a combination of the two.

Emphasis is being placed on trying to get elementary-age children on-site, but a final decision will not be made until July, and in accordance with state and federal health safety guidelines.
