Cooler weather has (finally) arrived in Georgia, and the city of Smyrna will celebrate in style later this month with its Fall Jonquil Festival.

The two-day festival, which is free, will be held Saturday, Oct. 26 and Sunday, Oct. 27 on the Village Green. The two-day festival will have more than 100 arts and crafts vendors, puppet shows, live music, festive-type food and interactive demonstrations.

Festival goers can also take advantage of the Smyrna Public Library’s book sale and take home Jonquil Bulbs that will be distributed by Keep Smyrna Beautiful. Other attractions include life-size robot vehicles, a K-9 demonstration and music by Scott Thompson.

While you’re perusing vendors and enjoying the entertainment, you’ll be able to munch on food like pizza, cotton candy, corn dogs, candy apples, snow cones, Polish sausage, barbecue and hand-dipped ice cream.

Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 26 and noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 27. The Village Green is at 200 Village Green Circle SE. For more information, call 770-423-1330.
