The Fairburn City Council will look at the actual wording in a number of laws during the council meeting 7 p.m. Monday at the Fairburn City Hall, 56 Malone Street.

Several of the changes to laws regarding tree protection, landscaping maintenance, stream buffer protection and floods may be approved, making the laws easier to understand. Changes to the city’s alcoholic beverages ordinance will be discussed as well.

The council will also hold a public hearing during the meeting to consider text amendments to the Planning and Zoning Commission’s powers and duties, and discuss the surplus property offered by Fulton County.
