MARTA was experiencing "extensive delays" on its Blue and Green rail lines Friday evening due to a technical issue, according to a tweet from the bus and rail service.

MARTA tweeted earlier that there was an issue at the Hamilton E. Holmes station, the last stop on the Blue line heading west.

Alisa Jackson, a spokeswoman for MARTA, said normal service resumed about 7:50 p.m.
