Three Emory University students recently beat out scholars nationwide to win Truman and Goldwater scholarships. They are: Junior Stephanie Spangler was selected as a 2011 Truman Scholar, one of 60 students in the nation to earn the  fellowship aimed at cultivating ones interested in public service. She gets $30,000 for graduate study. Emory juniors Moiez Ali and Jonathan Lin are recipients of the Goldwater Scholarship, which will provide up to $7,500 annually for education expenses.
