Emergency services field exercise set for January

Atlanta Gas Light - Peachtree Service Center, DeKalb Fire Department, Dekalb County Emergency Management Agency and the Chamblee Police Department will conduct a joint exercise 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 8 at 1885 Shalimar Drive, Atlanta.

The purpose of the exercise is to test the readiness plans and coordination of efforts of the four organizations. The exercise will consist of a simulated gas leak at the station resulting in a response from emergency personnel and technicians. At the conclusion of the exercise participants will perform some demonstrations and answer questions. Observers are asked to carpool.
