More than 400 educators who are in Atlanta for the National Education Association’s annual meeting plan to give a local school a makeover on Saturday.

The educators will gather at Thomasville Heights Elementary to redo the school’s landscaping, update the teacher’s lounge, paint murals and make improvements to an outdoor classroom.

The Outreach to Teach community service project, sponsored by NEA’s Student Program, each year selects a public school in or near the host city of the organization’s annual meeting.
