At its Nov. 19 meeting, Organized Neighbors of Edgewood elected 2019 officers, according to a press release:

President (KaeAnne Parris)

○ Run the monthly meeting. Focus on increasing interest in meaningful neighborhood

improvements and boost attendance at monthly neighborhood meetings. Strategize with

government representatives to ensure that Edgewood’s needs are met as an intown

neighborhood. Edgewood will be the most desirable neighborhood in Atlanta, as a result of its

diversity in neighbors, social demographics, businesses, and biodiversity.

Vice President (Shakur Walker)

○ Run the monthly meetings when the President isn’t available. I envision Edgewood’s growth

expanding commercially and connectivity, while retaining the diverse vibe that sets us apart

from surrounding neighborhoods. My role as VP of ONE is that of service, support and liaison to

my neighbors, and oversee the non-profit status of ONE.

Treasurer (Shakur Walker with assistance from Philippi Snow)

○ Assess past financial contributions to the organization and determine how to build on those

efforts that have been successful and understanding any past failures in raising funds for the

neighborhood. Working in tandem with philanthropy and event committees to determine the best

means to raise funds while also using money available efficiently.

Secretary (Gillam Sinharoy)

○ Create agenda for monthly meeting. Ensure that the meeting minutes are taken and sent out to

the neighborhood.
