Ebenezer Baptist Church will hold a "Hoodie Sunday" service to protest the shooting death of Trayvon Martin in Florida.

The service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at the church, 407 Auburn Ave.

The Rev. Raphael G. Warnock will deliver the sermon in a hoodie. Members of the choir, ministers, deacons and deaconesses as well as church members are also expected to don hoodies.

‘We are saying that we, too, are wearing hoodies because we, too, are Trayvon Martin," Warnock said in a statement. "State of Florida, do we look threatening? Are we, like Trayvon Martin, also in danger?"

Martin, 17, was returning from a run to the convenience store when George Zimmerman, starting following him through a gated community in Sanford. Zimmerman told police dispatchers that the youth looked suspicious. He was later found to be unarmed and was carrying Skittles and a iced tea drink. Zimmerman has not been arrested in a case that has riveted the nation.
