There’s a great place in metro Atlanta where you can eat lobster and listen to rock music this weekend.

And while you’re doing both of those things, you’ll be raising money for Camp Braveheart, a camp operated by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for children with congenital or acquired heart defects.

The 5th Annual Rock Lobster pool party will be held on Saturday, Aug. 19 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Mark Trail Club in Sandy Springs.

The event will include a lobster boil and live music, of course, but it will also feature a silent auction of concert tickets, photography sessions, golf outings, gift certificates, pressure washing and other items from local businesses. Royal Caribbean recently donated a prize pack for the auction that includes a seven-day cruise.

Tickets for the event range from $15 to $34 and can be purchased on Eventbrite. Tickets are limited and sales will end at 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 17.

Music will be provided by Adam Patterson and Mark Godwin of the band, Stokeswood.

Kathy and Roger Flynn created Camp Braveheart in honor of their daughter, Ansley, who was born with a heart defect. The camp continues today in her memory. Children ages seven to 18 can attend camp at no cost through the support of private foundations, corporations and individual donations.
