An East Point woman who threatened on Facebook to shoot white police officers apologized publicly Friday, and authorities said the charges against her would be dismissed.
Posting under the name Tiffany Milan in April 2015, Ebony Dickens wrote:
"All Black ppl should rise up and shoot at every white cop in the nation starting NOW. I condone black on white killings. Hell they condone crimes against us.
"I thought about shooting every white cop I see in the head until I'm either caught by the police or killed by them. Ha!!!! I think I can pull it off. Might kill at least 15 tomorrow, I'm plotting now."
She was charged with making terroristic threats and inciting to riot. Dickens said on Friday, however, that she didn’t intend to suggest that anyone shoot anyone else.
“It was not meant that way,” Dickens said at press conference at the Fulton County district attorney’s office. “I would never advocate for anybody else to be harmed by anyone.
“I wouldn’t push that upon my worst enemy. It’s not the sort of person that I am. My apology is genuine and sincere. I know for a fact that I don’t want anybody’s lives being taken."
WSB-TV reported that Fulton DA Paul Howard said the charges against Dickens would be dismissed in view of her apology.
