When it was determined that signs at some of the parks in East Point were in need of repair and fresh paint, Parks and

Recreation had the option of contracting out the work, or assuming the task themselves — which they did. With tools in

hand, staff members began sanding, painting and erecting

signs, saving the city the expense. To date they have successfully replenished signs at Center Park, Egan Park,

Bryant Park and Sumner Park.

Next they plan to refurbish the Historic Society wall at the corner of Norman Berry Drive and Lester.
