Bulk Trash Amnesty Week in the city of East Point is scheduled for April 20-23 and will occur on the regularly scheduled residential garbage collection day. It’s an opportunity for East Point residents to dispose of large trash items without having to pay a fee. All items should be placed at the curb/roadside by 7 a.m. on the normal trash collection day.

Items accepted: sofas, chairs, tables, desks, mattresses, washers, dryers, hot water heaters and stoves. Lawnmowers must have gasoline and oil removed before pickup. Refrigerators must have freon removed and disposed of before disposal.

Items not accepted: tires, yard waste and construction material.
