The East Point City Council will consider awarding a design bid to the Brown Design Group during its regular meeting 6:30 p.m. Monday at Jefferson Station Council Chambers, 1526 East Forrest Ave., Suite 400. The contract is for architectural services for the design of the new fire station, at a cost of $128,500.

There will be a public hearing for an ordinance amendment regarding rezoning and amendment procedures, and for an alcohol license for the new owner of the Citgo Food Mart at 2995 Headland Drive, Gurcharan S. Gurcharan.

A number of agenda items involve approving purchase of new equipment, including $101,079 for a new cooling system for the Law Enforcement Center Building at 2727 East Point St., $86,603.50 for an electrical primary infrastructure at 2110 Lawrence Ave. and $94,895.82 for re-conducting the Ben Hill Substation circuit.
