East Point City Council considered two agenda items during a recent special called meeting.

The council unanimously approved the submission of an application for the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Community Choices Assistance Program, which provides cities with technical assistance and resources to help develop plans to foster economic growth. The program helps local governments fund resources to implement plans and prepare for the future.

The council also approved issuing an on-premise alcohol license to the new Boneheads Restaurant at 3650 Marketplace Boulevard. The city’s police department recommended the approval and the council voted unanimously to grant the license.
