Early voting progressing in northern counties

Early voting is underway in Cherokee and Forsyth counties for the May 24 primary.

Cherokee County residents can cast ballots from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday through May 13 at the Cherokee County Elections and Registration office, 400 E. Main St., Canton. Beginning May 14 and through the following week, voting locations will expand.

In Forsyth County, voting will go on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. through May 13 at Cumming City Hall, 100 Main Street; the Hampton Park Library, 5345 Settingdown Road, Cumming; the Midway Park Community Building, 5100 Post Road, Cumming and the Sharon Springs Park Community Building, 1950 Sharon Road, Cumming. Hours will change following that.
