Jayden Williams, a junior at Dutchtown High School and an honor student, has been selected to receive the 2020 Association County Commissioners of Georgia’s Youth Leadership Award.

According to officials, the annual award recognizes a student who demonstrates excellent leadership at school and in the community, exhibits initiative and leadership potential in setting and achieving long and short-term goals and exhibits an understanding of the skills effective leaders possess.

Williams, the grandson of current Henry County Commissioner Vivian Thomas, has been involved in leadership roles in numerous youth programs and participated in this year’s legislative session. He plans to attend college to pursue a dual major in international business and political science.
