Dunwoody’s citywide push to become more environmentally friendly has paid off with a new award.

The Atlanta Regional Commission recently designated Dunwoody as one of the region’s “Green Communities.

The commission awarding the city bronze-level certification for its efforts, including launching a sustainability commission and creating in-house policies for purchasing and operations that emphasize recycling and other ways to minimize environmental impacts.
