Johns Creek police want your drugs.

On April 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., members of the police department will be collecting unwanted, unused or expired drugs.

The event is part of the DEA’s National Drug Take-Back day.

Police will be collecting the drugs at a station outside Emory Johns Creek Hospital's Physician's Plaza at 6335 Hospital Parkway.

All pills are accepted, but police will not accept needles or liquids.

The event aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications, Johns Creek police say.
