The Duluth Police Department is seeking candidates to participate in the next Hispanic Citizen Police Academy. Classes are held 7 to 10 p.m. every Thursday evening for 8 weeks beginning Oct. 4. Graduation will be on Nov. 29.

Class topics include traffic management, firearm safety, when to shoot and not to shoot scenarios, gangs, police patrol, K9 unit, criminal investigations and more. Students will have the opportunity to ride-along with police officers.
