Duluth celebrates Arbor Day Friday

Feb 14, 2011

The City of Duluth will celebrate Arbor Day Friday by planting trees at 10 a.m. on the Town Green and at 11 a.m. at Bunten Road Park.

The Arbor Day Foundation has designated Duluth a Tree City USA for 22 years. To win the designation cities must have a tree board or department, a tree-care ordinance and a comprehensive community forestry program and hold an Arbor Day observance and proclamation.
