The Duluth City Council voted recently to allow the city to lease portions of the Parsons Alley development for outside patio dining. The city’s new downtown redevelopment project was designed with zero lot line building locations, meaning each new structure comes up to or very near to the edge of the property line. The area outside of the building footprint is owned by the city.

To activate the development, Parsons Alley LLC will now be able to lease portions of the common area for outside patio dining with city council approval. Each lease requires an annual payment of $1,000.
