The Duluth City Council on March 14 agreed to award a bid for Parsons Alley Signage to Image Manufacturing Group LLC. Proposed locations of the two archway signs include one facing West Lawrenceville Street and the other facing State Route 120/Abbotts Bridge Road.
City staff review of two proposals received for the project included consideration of cost accounting for 70 percent and experience accounting for 30 percent of the decision. Each firm is qualified and has provided satisfactory work for past bids to the city.
Duluth will award the contract for a base bid of $70,220 with a 10 percent contingency amount of $7,022, for a total not to exceed $77,242,19.
