A Sandy Springs business near I-285 was heavily damaged early Thursday when a pickup truck crashed into it, the owner told AJC.com.

Ortho Sport & Spine Physicians on Roswell Road had a “monster” amount of damage from the crash, owner Armin Oskouei said.

The call came in to police at 3:45 a.m., Sandy Springs police Sgt. Sam Worshan said. Water was penetrating into the building and walls were damaged when Oskouei and responders arrived.

Officials left, but were called back to the medical office when Oskouei and others noticed more damage.

That’s when they saw the truck, which had driven through fences and bushes after hitting the building. The driver was DUI, according to police.

The owner said he has “no idea” of the extent of the damage.

“The good news here,” Oskouei said, “is nobody got hurt.”
