Drivers race to settle tickets in DeKalb

Drivers have until the end of the month to pay their traffic fines in DeKalb County or face losing their licenses. Judges say the backlog of thousands of tickets, some as old as 10 years, are the result of years of mismanagement in the DeKalb Recorders Court.

Last year, several court workers were indicted for a ticket-fixing scam. Now court officials are implementing tough policies to clean up the court.

Judges say the backlog of thousands of tickets, some as old as 10 years, are the result of years of mismanagement in the DeKalb Recorders Court.
