Drivers on Lanier Islands Parkway can expect delays, detour provided

Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners will detour traffic beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, June 17 through Saturday, June 22 on North Waterworks Road and Holiday Road in Buford.

The work is part of the ongoing State Route 347/Lake Lanier Islands Parkway construction project that will widen and reconstruct 2.349 miles of the roadway.

This detour will allow the side roads to be reconstructed to tie into the new lanes on Lake Lanier Islands Parkway. Drivers should move cautiously through the area and look for the clearly marked detour.
