Drivers begin navigating new roundabout in Gwinnett Place CID

Drivers making their way to and from Pleasant Hill Drive on Venture Drive near the Gwinnett Place Mall area will be navigating a new roundabout at Day Drive.

The Gwinnett Place CID is working in partnership with the Gwinnett County Department of Transportation and the State Road and Tollway Authority to construct the roundabout to improve traffic flow and reduce conflict points in this congested area.

Ohmshiv Construction, LLC is handling the construction which includes utility relocation, installation of drainage structures and walls, grading, and maintenance of erosion control structures. Construction is underway with completion scheduled for fall, but dependent on weather conditions. The project includes the installation of lighting at the roundabout, curb and gutter, sidewalks and associate drainage improvements. This project is funded through the 2017 and 2009 SPLOST program, the State Road and Tollway Authority Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank and the CID.
