Yekaterina Curry, 30, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, habitual violator, driving with suspended license, failure to maintain lane, and move over violation. Georgia Move Over Law requires drivers to move over one lane or slow down when an emergency vehicle is flashing lights and parked on the side of the highway.

Sandy Springs police posted a picture of the smashed car on Facebook.

“It’s a reminder that we want people to move over when they see blue lights and don’t drive drunk,” Sgt. Samuel Worsham of Sandy Springs PD said. “Take an Uber.”

The driver will be responsible for damages to the vehicle, police said.
